Between the two theatres, the Crystal Lounge will accommodate up to 225 for receptions, dining or lectures, with catering facilities available. China Grove Roller Mill

For one hundred years, the China Grove Roller Mill was in continuous operation and was a meeting place for the agricultural community surrounding the town of China Grove. Farmers came to sell their grain for flour and corn meal production, to purchase farm necessities and to socialize. When visitors enter the roller mill, they are transported to an earlier time, where wheat and corn were turned into flour and corn meal. The story of the community and the roller mill are told in pictorial exhibits, artifact displays and video.The Roller Mill Museum is available for receptions, meetings and public events. A catering kitchen near two all-purpose rooms supports these uses.The museum is open to the public at advertised times and by appointment.

F&M Bank Trolley Barn

The F&M Trolley Barn was purchased and restored by F&M Bank in 2001. Formerly the McCanless Motor Company garage, the building is representative of the standard commercial design of the first half of the twentieth century. It was originally built to serve a growing population and an ever increasing automobile industry. The building was placed on the National Register for Historic Places in 1999.Adjacent to the F&M Trolley Barn at 123 Liberty Street, the newly designed Waterworks Visual Arts Center is housed. This building served as the repair shop for the McCanless Motor Company dealership showroom. Both of these buildings serve as an anchor of historic value to downtown Salisbury.The F&M Trolley Barn provides a wonderful home for the Downtown Salisbury Trolleys. This space not only houses these historic touring vessels, but also provides an excellent venue for wedding receptions, annual meetings, holiday events and more.

Lee Street theatre was started in 2008 with the goal of providing new performance art experiences to Salisbury and Rowan County. Lee Street theatre offers a full theatre season along with the new 'Live At Lee Street' concert performances, which feature some of the best live musicians on the scene today. When at 'Lee Street' you might experience everything from Live Music & improv comedy to world premier & off-broadway plays.
For the first 5 years, Lee Street theatre rented a small black garage space to perform in. Now, in it's 8th year, Lee Street theatre, and with the wonderful support of the Rowan-Salisbury Community, they operate out of the new 9,000 square foot Lee Street Theater & Performing Arts Center at the Tom & Martha Smith Event Center. This adaptive reuse of a 1920's warehouse offers a bar & lounge area, a rehearsal/event space, a full use Black Box style performance space, dressing rooms, and a theatrical scene shop. The center is home to both Lee Street theatre and The St. Thomas Players (drama troupe of The Center For Faith & The Arts). The space is also available for rental for private & group events.

Located in the Piedmont region of North Carolina and recently awarded Grape Growers Excellence Award, Morgan Ridge Vineyards has been creating quality wines since its inaugural vintage in 2007. Owners Tommy and Amie Baudoin operate the vineyard and on premise winery while striving for balance and producing the best fruit possible to be used in the creation of their award winning wines. Planted in 2004, the vineyard boasts seven prime acres encompassing seven different varietals used in the production of over 1500 cases of estate wine annually.
The winery features a tasting room for visiting connoisseurs and recently started offering crafted beer. The facility includes on open air pavilion and dressing rooms that is available for weddings, private parties, corporate gatherings, and other events. A full catering operation is located onsite and is ready to serve your needs. Original art by award winning artist Robert Crum (our wine label artist) is available for viewing inside the Morgan Ridge wine tasting room and on the exterior grounds. The Salisbury Business Center is home to several businesses,an auditorium, and two conference rooms in the heart of Downtown Salisbury. The Salisbury Business Center has a limited number of executive suites available for new residents. Currently, the Salisbury Auditorium and the Main Street Conference Room are available for rent for commuting business people, corporate events, training sessions, seminars, and more. The Salisbury Auditorium is a 76 seat capacity stadium style auditorium is ideal for trainings and seminars. There are fixed work surfaces with power-up data modules and wireless internet. The auditorium includes a 9’x16’ fixed wall screen, ceiling mounted HD projector, presentation remote, surround sound system, 23 inch display for presenter with wireless keyboard and mouse, and a Blue-ray DVD player. The Main Street Conference Room has a 6 seat capacity and is handicapaccessible. The Visitor Center offers a variety of self-guided tours to the public. The Salisbury Heritage walking tour provides a personal glimpse into the history and architecture of Historic Downtown Salisbury and the stately homes of the West Square District. The brochures and players for the tour can be rented for a small fee. The African American Heritage Trail self-guided tour chronicles the historic moments, great leaders and lives of generations of African-Americans who lived, worked and contributed to the industrial, artistic, cultural and spiritual life of the Salisbury community. Brochure and map available at no cost. Salisbury Confederate Prison & National Cemetery self-guided driving tour is a must for Civil War buffs. This driving tour is sold on CD for $5 at the Visitor Center. Although nothing remains of the Salisbury Prison, the tour poignantly provides insights into this period of our history. Three monuments erected by the State of Maine, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Government stand in the Salisbury National Cemetery as a tribute to the 11,700 brave Union soldiers who died while at the prison. The Visitor Information Center is located in the Gateway Building at 204 E. Innes Street, Salisbury.

The Heritage Room

The Heritage Room is positioned in the heart of Salisbury's downtown Historic District and offers beautiful views overlooking Easy Street, the F&M Financial Center garden, Waterworks Visual Art Center and the Trolley Barn. Conveniently located, this historic space is located in the Council Street Commons building that is centered in the first block of East Council Street. The building was originally the home of the McCanless Motor Company from 1924 to 1950 and later became a manufacturing facility for Stanley furniture. In 1996, Karen and Henry Alexander began the challenge of renovation and restoration of the building. The latest development is the 2,600 square foot Heritage Room, an excellent space for numerous types of corporate and private events. Amenities include a catering kitchen, a large coat closet, convenient rest rooms, and a 630 square foot balcony overlooking Easy Street and the surrounding area. The Heritage Room can accommodate events ranging from 100 to 250 persons.
